How To Build An Insect

When I taught second grade, we did an insect unit every spring. Boxes of mealworms and caterpillars and eggs would arrive like clockwork, we’d set up the various habitats, sit back and observe life happen. This book would’ve been clutch during that time! How to Build an Insect takes you step by step through an insects form; body parts and James, functions, and other physical attributes, all among a spread of fanciful fonts, colorful illustrations, all of which are vibrant and interesting.

If you check this book out, I highly recommend singing the insect body part song (to the tune of head, shoulders, knees, and toes) with hand gestures!
