The Thank You Letter
I’ve always been a big supporter of the good, old fashioned paper and pen thank you note. First, who doesn’t love to get mail!! Second, life moves so fast these days, I’ve found it a worthwhile practice to once in a while, slow down and stop and write a note of thanks.
I’m trying to instill this value in my children, but the process isn’t always easy. Some days they’re happy to write a note of thanks, other days it feels like pulling teeth. That’s why I loved this book, as it offers perspective for the giver AND receiver of thank you notes. Reading this helped reaffirm the value and purpose of this gesture for my kids. A quick sentence or two might seem arduous in the moment, but the feelings sparked when giving and receiving are worth the effort!
