We’ve been out of the world of board books for a few years, but have been delighted to see some great new ones pop up as we begin to dip a toe back in this genre, reading to our baby.
Farm Block is likely my favorite of the Block series. The pictures are colorful and engaging, with flaps that flip up, down, and out. The story runs through the familiar motions of farm life, chores, and harvest, cumulating at the farmer’s market. I also appreciate the diversity present in this book, the book features people of different races, ethnicities, and abilities, which can’t be said of many board books. When my son was fussy this morning, we brought this one out and immediately he calmed down—a telltale sign of a good book.😘
