An absolutely gorgeous book that personifies the word ‘wild.’ The author depicts what wild can look like, embody, its range and reach. How wild starts small, pushes through nooks, crannies, and cracks and steals back forgotten places. Acknowledging that wild is sometimes hard to see, easy to miss, but when you uncover it in all its glory- it surprises, delights, and can be utterly breathtaking.
I love how Megan Wagner Lloyd captures the five senses of wildness. Being in the wild, you are submerged in sights, smells, sounds, textures, and tastes, each sense magnified upon your latest wild discovery.
A beautiful, inspiring non-fiction book that makes you want to get up and just get outside immediately. A beacon for explorers and bookworms alike, a call to return to nature; and explore the surprise, whimsy, and wonder that the wild has to offer.
