A really lovely non-fiction book that reframes animals who’d previously only been depicted as fierce, ferocious, and to be feared. For example, gorillas may be fierce, but they’re excellent, gentle parents, and build soft nests for their babies to sleep in. I even learned a few facts about animals I hadn’t liked much before (namely bats). Reading this book was a reminder that everything can be viewed through multiple lenses, and it’s important to keep an open mind. A great read that’s concise, informative and mindful, without being text heavy.
