The Christmas Tree Who Loved Trains
Another new Christmas book on the holiday scene this season - The Christmas Tree Who Loved Trains by Annie Silvestro. The story unfolds introducing a little tree, who has grown up beside the railroad tracks. He’s become accustomed to the noisy chugging of the trains and familiarity of the train schedule, and loves his life there.
One day, he is cut down and chosen as a family’s Christmas tree. Instead of feeling delight, he is initially sad and anxious, nostalgic for the sights and sounds of the tracks. The family’s little boy is intuitive and observant and feels the tree’s plight. He finds a way to bring trains to the tree- in the form of a miniature engine that encircles the Christmas tree.
