If You're Going To A March

With activism on the rise these days, and more and more young children attending marches and peaceful protests, this is a great book to read before attending, to give your kiddo a frame of reference for what to expect at the event.

If You're Going to a March is informative and provides useful, practical suggestions for March day, from how to make a sign, to what to wear, and what to bring the day of. I appreciated the visual representation of what you might see at a march; speeches, police presence, reporters, and those with disagree with what you’re marching for. Check out this book, even if you’re not headed to any marches in the immediate future, this book is an excellent reference to the climate of our current times, providing context to events in the news and illustrating for kids, what democracy looks like.
