The Shark Lady

I remember when I was little, searching for books on important figures in history for my biography project. I always wanted to pick a girl, but it often felt like my book options were limited. Lots of books on Helen Keller, Florence Nightingale, and Betsy Ross, maybe a rogue copy of a Jane Goodall biography is we were lucky.

I’m thrilled that in 2018- there are so many more female biography books available for young kids. Such as The Shark Lady about Eugenie Clark- amazing shark scientist who proved all her narrow minded male professors wrong and became one of the tops in her field. Another pioneer who has helped pave the way to show women can do anything they set their minds to.
