Henry and the Buccaneer Bunnies
I loved reading Henry and the Buccaneer Bunnies aloud to my second graders. Henry may be a pirate by birth, but he has zero desire to pursue proper pirating duties. His father, Black Ear, incessantly tries to push the pirate life on his son, but Henry has no interest in swabbing the decks, dressing in pirate garb, and making prisoners walk the plank - he would rather be reading a stack of pilfered books. An unexpected twist leads the crew to turn to Henry and his books to save the day.
