After years of teaching 1st grade weather, I can assure you there are many, many boring, uninteresting books out there about clouds. This is not one of them.

Cloudette was always a bright spot in our air and weather science unit. A fictional gem I looked forward to and saved especially for a week when day after day of weather lessons documenting the daily cloud cover felt especially dry.

Cloudette is the cutest little cloud who feels a bit underrated as her size often prohibits her from doing big and important things in the weathering world. But, it turns out, being small does have its advantages too. Beloved children’s illustrator @tlichtenheld delivers yet again- this time as illustrator AND author. You’ll want to read this one over and over. ☁️💕
