Whose Eyes Are These?

What a lovely, unique book with absolutely beguiling illustrations. The format is as such: each animal is depicted across three consecutive pages. The first page asks, “Whose eyes are there?” alongside a pair of meticulously drawn eyes (without the animal’s body), offering the reader a chance to guess which animal they belong to. The following page introduces the animal in its entirety, along with a few facts about habitat and behaviors. The third is an insanely detailed Where’s Waldo/Look-and-Find-esque mural across a two-page spread, in which the child has to find the animal camouflaged amongst the intricate designs.  I’ve never met a book quite like this before. Despite its minimal text it offers an engaging reading and seeking experience for readers of all ages. Absolutely stunning!
